OUR IMPACT SO FAR
At FACES UK CIC, we’re proud of the difference we’ve made together with our community. Over the past year, our projects and partnerships — including support from Active Essex, local councils, and community volunteers — have continued to grow, helping more families, children and individuals to stay active, connected, and supported.

1. Improved Physical and Mental Health

Our free skating sessions, Kangoo activities, fitness programmes and wellness one-to-ones have encouraged hundreds of local people to live more active and healthy lives. Regular exercise has improved both physical and mental well-being — reducing stress, anxiety and depression, while increasing confidence, energy, and motivation.

2. Strengthened Social Connections

Parent and toddler sessions and home education multi-sports have given families a place to meet, talk and connect. These sessions reduce isolation and build friendships — creating a real sense of belonging for people who may have felt alone or unsupported before joining.

3. Support for Vulnerable Groups

We’ve continued to provide free food, warm clothing and essential support for those struggling with the cost of living. In Harwich — an area facing high deprivation — this practical help has eased pressure on families, ensuring no one is left behind when it comes to basic needs like nutrition and warmth.

4. Positive Impact on Children and Families

Through holiday clubs, youth sessions, toddler and home-ed activities, children have had safe, enriching spaces to grow socially and physically. Parents have also benefited from the supportive, family-friendly environment that helps strengthen relationships and community trust.

5. Increased Confidence and Empowerment

Our wellness and signposting support has empowered individuals to take control of their health and personal goals. By focusing on well-being and self-care, participants have built confidence, resilience, and the belief that they can achieve positive change in their lives.

6. Crime Reduction and Safer Communities

Our Teen Time Pathways Programme has played a key role in reducing antisocial behaviour and improving safety in the local area. By engaging young people in positive, structured activities, we’ve created a safe space where they can build confidence, learn new skills, and develop positive relationships with peers and mentors.

Many of the young people who attend Teen Time have progressed from being participants to volunteers and young leaders, showing how consistent support and opportunity can lead to real personal growth. By offering these sessions free of charge in an area of high deprivation, we’re helping to divert young people from negative influences and instead connect them with positive pathways for their future.

7. Building Community Spirit and Resilience

Everything we do — from free activities to food support — helps strengthen our community. FacesUK CIC has inspired more people to volunteer, get involved, and give back. Together, we’re creating a resilient, caring Harwich where everyone has the chance to thrive.
